    ***Special Announcement***

Attention to any student who took the PSAT, we just found out that you will have access to your PSAT scores online in Mid December, which is very different form previous years. To access your scores,  as long as you indicated your email on the PSAT exam when you took it, you must create an account on collegeboard.org. Scores then will be emailed to you in mid December. Paper copies of your scores will come to the guidance office in Late January, at that time you can pick them up along with your test book in Guidance. Please see your counselor with any questions.

The PSAT exam will be held at Conestoga Valley High School on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 7:30 a.m. Students must bring a pencil, calculator, and Photo ID (School ID or Driver’s license). The deadline to register for the exam is October 4, 2019.  Cost for the test is $20 and is available only for CV students.

The PSAT is a practice SAT exam and is a one time opportunity for students, there is no makeup date. This test allows the student to  experience an environment like that of the SAT exam.

The test is primarily for any 11th grade student who thinks they will be attending a four year college or any 10th grade student who is advanced in math and who had Geometry in 9th grade may also register to take the PSAT.

Not only will students get excellent practice, Juniors will have the chance to earn National Merit Scholarship opportunities if they perform exceptionally well on the test. Students will also have their names placed in a data bank to start receiving information from colleges.

Results will come back in early December and will give counselors important information on how to help students prepare for the SAT. Students will receive their test booklets back along with all the answers to use as a study guide for the SAT.

To register for the PSAT, students must bring in a check to the Guidance office for $20.00 made out to Conestoga Valley School District. The deadline to register for the PSAT exam is October 4, 2019. Students will receive a practice PSAT exam book when they register.

Any 11th grade student who is planning on attending a four year college should take the PSAT. Any 10th grade student who is advanced in math planning on attending a four year college should also take the PSAT.

The PSAT exam is a great practice exam for the actual SAT exam. Students will get their scores in early December, and will get all answers as well as their test book to use as a study guide.

Students will also get their name in a college data bank to start receiving college information.

Students in 11th grade who perform exceptionally well on the PSAT will have the chance to earn National Merit recognition or Scholarships.
