  • At the March 9 Board Meeting, Maryann Marotta, AIA/Principal Architect and Wesley Enterline, Associate Project Architect, with Marotta Main Architects, presented the results of the rebids for the middle school building project. The recommendations are as follows: Buro Construction as General Contractor, Matchline Mechanical for HVAC, Jay R Reynolds for plumbing, Buro Construction for electrical, 11400, Inc. for food service, Trane USA Inc. for HVAC controls, A-Turf, Inc, for athletic fields and Horst Construction for site development. At the March 16 meeting, Mr. Shertzer asked for a motion to approve the bids as recommended which includes adding two turf fields, with the addition of an alternate to accept the prepping of two additional turf fields for development in future years. The Board decided to reject the alternate for additional parking. Mrs. Reed motioned to accept the recommended bids adding an alternate for the prepping of two additional turf fields for future development. Dr. Mead seconded the motion. There was a roll call vote and the motion passed unanimously.

    Additionally on March 9, Matthew Griffith, Project Manager with Marotta Main Architects for the Brownstown renovations, along with Mrs. Heverly Flesher, presented a change order for consideration to improve aesthetics and make projectors in classrooms more user friendly. Mr. Griffith presented the fiber cable change order.
