Feb. 3, 2022

January is behind us, so it's time to look at what's going on in February. There is an early dismissal on Feb. 17 and no school from Feb 18-21. There are also events going on across the district; check out the district calendar here and the athletics schedule here! (And don't forget wish your loved ones a Happy Valentine's Day on Feb. 14!).

On Wednesday afternoon, CV held its College Commitment Ceremony to recognize the six student-athletes who have committed to continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level! Click here for the full news release.

Calling all CV alumni! Did you meet your sweetheart at CV? Want to share your story? Send a brief paragraph (how you met, how long you've been together, where you are now, fun - or funny! - stories about your days at CV, etc.) along with a photo(s) to Katie Meier to be featured on social media leading up to and on Valentine's Day!

We were optimistic the COVID News Update Center would be a thing of the past by the time this school year started. Unfortunately, there is still a need to maintain and update the News Update Center for the foreseeable future.

The Update Center was created in the spring of 2020 when the virus first affected our area. Our COVID dashboard will again be updated each school day in the late afternoon or evening.

In addition, the Update Center has a plethora of resources and information, including letters from Dr. Zuilkoski, learning resources, and more.

Any juniors who plan to take the SAT exam this spring, please note the below dates and registration deadlines:

  • March 12 (register by Feb. 11)
  • May 7 (register by April 8)
  • June 4 (register by May 5)

Register at sat.org.

Conestoga Valley's online bulletin board is designed to assist community nonprofit groups in the CV area to communicate important information in an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective way. Throughout the school year, we'll highlight new announcements, registration information, and more in this newsletter.

This Saturday, Feb. 5, the CVHS Drama Department is hosting a bingo event at 5:30 p.m. in the CVHS cafeteria! Play bingo for a chance to win a purse! There is a $25 admission fee at the door. Concessions will be sold starting at 5:30 p.m. with bingo kicking off at 6 p.m.!

CVHS has an internship program! Juniors or seniors are eligible to apply for an internship where they will spend time onsite with flexible hours. Some of our students intern five days a week, others for three days. Our internship program is incredibly business friendly; we want to build relationships that benefit all parties!

And a big thank you to a few of our current partners, including Universal Athletic Club, Calvary Church, and the Barnstormers!

The Internship Program is always looking to add to its list of partners. Interested in the opportunity to partner with CVHS and provide an internship for students? Click here to fill out the interest form.

SOS Group of Lancaster is again holding Walk-In Wednesdays at the CV Service Center! Stop in on Feb. 16, 23, or March 2 to meet with a SOS Group recruiter. A variety of positions are available. Click the button below for more information!
