DECEMBER DATES

It's officially December and that means the holiday break is approaching! In addition to the holiday break, there are other events (holiday and otherwise) going on across the district this month.

Check out the district calendar for all of this month's events (please note that the Dec. 6 CVHS Coffee with the Principal has been changed to a Zoom format from 6-6:45 p.m.)

PHOTO OF THE WEEK

On Tuesday, students in Mrs. Bradley's sixth-grade students at Leola opted to enjoy their holiday meal together as a "class family" in their room. There was even a "fire" burning to make for a cozy atmosphere!

SOS IS HIRING!

SOS of Lancaster is hiring for a variety of positions across the district. SOS is also hosting "Walk-In Wednesday" at CV's Service Center on Dec. 8 & 15 where job seekers can speak with a SOS recruiter.

Click here for more information, including open jobs and how to apply. Or just stop by on Dec. 8 or 15!

COVID-19 UPDATE CENTER

We were optimistic the COVID News Update Center would be a thing of the past by the time this school year started. Unfortunately, there is still a need to maintain and update the News Update Center for the foreseeable future.

The Update Center was created in the spring of 2020 when the virus first affected our area. Our COVID dashboard will again be updated each school day in the late afternoon or evening.

In addition, the Update Center has a plethora of resources and information, including letters from Dr. Zuilkoski, learning resources, and more.

GET READY FOR SOME BINGO

The CVHS girls soccer team is selling tickets for their Designer Purse Bingo event! The fundraiser will take place on Jan. 21, 2022, at the CVHS cafeteria. Tickets are $25 and must be pre-purchased by contacting any girls soccer player or email hatnav12bb@yahoo.com.

Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. for dinner with 25 rounds of bingo starting promptly at 6:30 p.m.!

COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARD

Conestoga Valley's online bulletin board is designed to assist community nonprofit groups in the CV area to communicate important information in an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective way. Throughout the school year, we'll highlight new announcements, registration information, and more in this newsletter.

All items will be distributed on Dec. 18, 2021.

ESSER III: OPPORTUNITY FOR COMMUNITY FEEDBACK

Conestoga Valley School District is soliciting your feedback via a survey on the prioritization of areas in which Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) II and III funds have the potential to be directed. These federal funds have been and will be issued in phases (ESSER I, ESSER II, and ESSER III) through September 2024 and must be used to meet needs that have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Click the icon below to access the survey (survey closes tomorrow, Dec. 3). For more information regarding ESSER-specific items and associated costs, please access the Community Forum presentation here.
