For the third year in a row, Middle School Principal Denis quirk is taking part in the "Real Men Wear Pink" campaign in honor of breast cancer awareness month.

This year, Quirk has set a goal to raise $2,500...BUT, we know he can surpass last year's total of $2,722! Like last year, Quirk has added incentives (to be announced!) to his middle school students by promising several fun events when he reaches certain benchmarks. The middle school will also again be holding a Spirit Week later this month and there will be a district-wide Pink Day (date to be determined).

The fundraiser is open to anyone who would like to support this cause, not just members of the school district. Click the button below the photo on the right to donate!

Last week, several elementary CVVA students took part in their weekly STEAM Discovery event! Last week's topic was “Not a Box,” incorporating engineering, creativity, creative problem solving skills, and communication.

We were optimistic the COVID News Update Center would be a thing of the past by the time this school year started. Unfortunately, there is still a need to maintain and update the News Update Center for the foreseeable future.

The Update Center was created in the spring of 2020 when the virus first affected our area. Our COVID dashboard will again be updated each school day in the late afternoon or evening.

In addition, the Update Center has a plethora of resources and information, including letters from Dr. Zuilkoski, learning resources, and more.

The annual Craft Show is also back this year! The Craft Show will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in Rill Gymnasium at CVHS. All questions can be directed here.

Conestoga Valley's online bulletin board is designed to assist community nonprofit groups in the CV area to communicate important information in an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective way. Throughout the school year, we'll highlight new announcements in the Buckskin Blast.

On October 23rd, something pretty special is happening at the CVHS Stadium. The family of Teri Dougherty, a former Fritz teacher who passed away from breast cancer, is hosting their fourth- annual 5k walk to honor her and raise money for her Memorial Scholarship.

Let’s show our CV Spirit, no matter what elementary school with which you affiliate! The event organizers are asking for families/groups to register for $30 per team/group, although no donation is too large or too small! Check-in starts at 9:30 a.m. and the walk is at 10 a.m.

CVHS teacher Mrs. Mead runs the "Money with Mead" segment on the CV Today Show and runs the Schoology page of the same name. Mrs. Mead is CV's Awards Committee Chairperson, meaning she spearheads the funding of scholarships for graduating seniors and she needs your help and support!

Stauffer's of Kissel Hill offers the Stauffer's School Rewards Program which gives schools the opportunity to earn a percentage of sales made at Stauffer's by registered Stauffer's Signature Rewards members.

By becoming a rewards member, and designating CVHS as your school of choice, every purchase you make helps fund CV scholarships. And any money remaining at the end of each school year is rolled into the next school year to continue funding scholarships. Click below for more information!

In honor of Perry Pritchard's birthday this month, please consider giving a donation to help fund the Perry Pritchard Center Award, an annual scholarship given to a CVHS senior.

Mr. Pritchard, a teacher and assistant principal in the Conestoga Valley School District, passed away unexpectedly in 2015 and the scholarship was established in his honor.

For the first time since the fall of 2019, the annual Homecoming Bonfire is back! This year's bonfire will take place on Wednesday, October 13 from 6-9:30 p.m. at the JV baseball field at CVHS (Rain date is Thursday, Nov. 4). That's less than a week away!

The entire CV community is invited to a night of food, music, games, fireworks, and more!

Any group or organization interested in setting up a table that evening should contact Rachel Metzinger.

Last Saturday, Hudson (a student at Smoketown Elementary) held a Toy Sale to raise money for CVCCS to assist local families in need. The numbers are in - Hudson's toy sale raised over $2,500!! Way to go, Hudson!
