SUPPORT A WORTHY CAUSE

The Conestoga Valley football team is partnering with the Cocalico football team to raise funds for M.A.D.D. in honor of the Flinton family whose sons both play for Cocalico; their mother was severely injured by a drunk driver in 2019.

Both teams are selling t-shirts (long and short sleeved). Orders are due no later than Sept. 8. Order forms and payment should be given to any football booster board member or CV's head coach Gerad Novak.

Click here for more information, including the order form.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK

We don't think it missed anyone's attention, but we have an Olympian in our midst! Olympic archer Casey Kaufhold is a senior at CVHS and on August 4, the CV community held a Welcome Home ceremony for the Olympian!

AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM FOOD SERVICES

Like last year, CV's Food Services Department will be offering meal bundles to all CVVA families. The first meal bundles are expected to be distributed on Aug. 31. Watch your inbox for the first sign-up link of the school year!

COVID-19 UPDATE CENTER

We were optimistic the COVID News Update Center would be a thing of the past by the time this school year started. While the News Update Center will still be active this year, we hope for less activity on it - and we really hope it goes away completely at some point this year!

The Update Center was created in the spring of 2020 when the virus first affected our area. Our COVID dashboard will again be updated each school day in the late afternoon or evening.

LET'S GO BUCKSKINS!

We can't wait to see fans in the stands and bleachers at our CV sporting events this year! Click the link below to access ticket information, including the various plans that are offered.

COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARD

Conestoga Valley's online bulletin board is designed to assist community nonprofit groups in the CV area to communicate important information in an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective way. Throughout the school year, we'll highlight new announcements in the Buckskin Blast.

BUCKSKIN BRIEFS

Throughout the school year, Dr. Zuilkoski blogs weekly about issues affecting CV, the world of education and other topics relevant to our students, staff, and CV Community.

Dr. Z's first blog of the 2021-22 school year will debut next week!

FORE!

The 23rd annual Conestoga Valley's Education Foundation (CVEF) Golf Classic is slated for Friday, Sept. 10 at Meadia Heights Golf Club. The event includes a scramble format, raffle, silent auction, awards, cocktails, and dinner reception. Click here for more information.

CV LOVES SOCIAL MEDIA

This summer, we added a brand new CV-sanctioned Instagram account - CVSD_Construction. There's always something going on in the district from renovations of existing buildings to the construction of our brand new middle school. This new account is the place to stay up to date on what renovation and construction projects are going on in the district!

In addition, the District's main Facebook and Instagram accounts can be found here and here. And there are numerous other CV-sanctioned social media accounts, from teachers to individual schools to administrators (check out Dr. Z on Instagram!), so come follow us!

SAVE THE DATE!

Conestoga Valley High's School (Virtual) FAFSA Financial aid night will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The night is geared toward senior parents, although anyone can attend. CV's PHEAA rep will host the session but questions can be directed to CV Counselor Jill Stauffer, 717-397-5231 x1034.

More details to follow!

OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

The Conestoga Valley Online Store is back! We have restocked our store with items ranging from polo shirts to magnets to baseball caps. Click the icon below to see what we have and how to order; keep in mind, once an item is sold, it's gone for good! Once our current inventory is gone, we'll be stocking the store with new items!
