Jonathan Scepanski has been officially named the next head coach of the Conestoga Valley High School varsity football team; his appointment was approved at the May 9, 2022 school board meeting.

Scepanski comes to CV following a nine-year tenure as the head coach at Northeastern High School (Manchester, Pa.) from 2013-2021. His Northeastern teams advanced to the playoffs four times under his tutelage.

Prior to arriving at Northeastern, Scepanski spent three years on the CV sidelines as the defensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

The Conestoga Valley and Manheim Township junior high track and field programs teamed up to raise money for Off the Streets. The two teams raised $969.69 (!) and this morning, representatives from the foundation stopped by GGHMS to accept the donations. As you can see in the above photo, two of our CV students donned Manheim Township gear in honor of their MT counterparts who could not be in attendance.

Conestoga Valley's online bulletin board is designed to assist community nonprofit groups in the CV area to communicate important information in an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective way. Throughout the school year, we'll highlight new announcements, registration information, and more in this newsletter.

On Monday, May 16, the Conestoga Valley Athletic Department will hold its spring college commitment ceremony in the CVHS auditorium at 3:15 p.m.

Senior student-athletes who have been actively recruited and have committed to continuing your academic and athletic careers in college at any level, please contact Dina Henry if you have not done so already.

CVCCS's annual Summer Lunch Club is back again this summer and now it's back to "normal," meaning no more of the grab n' go style from the past two years of COVID.

In addition to meals, each site will offer fun and interactive activities such as games, Bible stories, songs, crafts, etc. Think of it as a mini vacation bible school environment!

Below are the four Summer Lunch Club sites; parents may also receive food, but children 18 and younger will be served first:

  • Flory Park: 416 Dohner Dr., Lancaster, PA 17602
  • Country Club Apartments: 323 Aaron Ln., Lancaster, PA 176101
  • West Earl Community Park: 189 S. State St., Leola, PA 17540
  • Breakout Ministries: 2400 Anita Ct., Leola, PA 17540
