Welcome, September

It's already the first day of September!

Check out the calendar on the left for some key dates this month. As always, our online calendars contain all the information for building-specific events, board meetings, and more!

Photo of the Week

Smile! CVHS held the first school picture day of the new school year on Wednesday. Don't recall when your student's photo day is? Just check out our calendar online or call your building's main office!

Tomorrow Night!

Florida Sands

Mark your calendars! Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services (CVCCS) is again holding its annual White Out Hunger Game. This year's game is slated for tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 2 when the Buckskins host Daniel Boone at 7 p.m.

Bring a non-perishable food item and receive $2 off admission! And of course, be sure to wear white and cheer loudly for the Buckskins!

New Year, New Look

In case you missed it, the CV website got a fresh look just in time for the new school year! Don't worry, none of the previous information went anywhere; everything on the old site carried over to the new site.

The new site isn't a drastic change from the old one, but in case you're having some difficulties finding information or just want to learn about some of the new features, check out this video!

School Meal Information

A reminder to our families - the Universal Free Meal Waiver expired on June 30, 2022. The Conestoga Valley School District will be following the National School Lunch Program for the 2022-23 school year. All parents/guardians are encouraged to complete the Meal Benefit Free and Reduced Application on the CV Food Service website under Free and Reduced Lunch.

More information was included in the Back-to-School packet.

Conestoga Valley's online bulletin board is designed to assist community nonprofit groups in the CV area to communicate important information in an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective way. Throughout the school year, we'll highlight new announcements, registration information, and more in this newsletter.

Middle School Update

Last week, it was announced that the opening of the new middle school would be pushed back to ensure our students and staff are able to safely get into their learning areas.

Please visit the District homepage for any additional updates.

Pre-K Opportunity!

Florida Sands

A pre-kindergarten program funded by the PA Department of Education Office of Child Development and Early Learning is now being offered to qualifying CV elementary families in partnership with the Owl Hill Learning Centers based in Lititz. The classes are staffed by PA State certified early childhood teachers and qualified early childhood teaching assistants. Students attend the program for five and a half hours each day (8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.) for 180 days of instruction, following the Conestoga Valley School District calendar. Materials and lunch are provided at no cost to families. Transportation is the responsibility of the family; no busing is offered for this program.
