It's National Principal's Month!

October is National Principal's Month! We want to extend a big THANK YOU to our principals for all they do for our students, families, and staff. You are a big part of what makes CV such a great place to learn and work!

Photo of the Week

Research shows that the First 10 years of a child’s life provides the foundation for later learning, growth, and development. Late last week, CV stakeholders learned more about the First 10 Framework during a workshop with Dr. David Jacobson from the Education Development Center. Kindergarten teachers, early learning partners, principals, and many more stakeholders collaborated to complete a self-assessment of CV’s First 10 programs and services. Stay tuned for important learning and new ideas!

Support Dr. Smith!

Florida Sands

For the past several years, former middle school principal Denis Quirk spearheaded the annual Real Men Wear Pink fundraising campaign across the district.

With Mr. Quirk's departure, CVHS Principal Dr. Smith has graciously taken over!

There are a number of incentives up for grabs (we've heard rumors about pink tutus and a pink Mohawk...) for district staff and students who donate and/or when Dr. Smith reaches several of his fundraising goals.

But it's not limited to District participation! Anyone can donate any amount to Dr. Smith's fundraising efforts. Click here to access Dr. Smith's donation page!

The Bonfire is Only a Few Weeks Away...

The annual CVSD Community Bonfire will be held on Wednesday, October 26th, from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM at CVHS. If you've been to the CV Bonfire in the past, you know it's an event that is well attended and brings our community together as a whole!

Any group or organization interested in setting up a table that evening should contact CVHS Assistant Principal Melissa Swarr.

Conestoga Valley's online bulletin board is designed to assist community nonprofit groups in the CV area to communicate important information in an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective way. Throughout the school year, we'll highlight new announcements, registration information, and more in this newsletter.
