Photo of the Week

On Monday evening, the East Lampeter Township Board of Supervisors recognized several CVHS students for their Paint the Plows project. Last school year, CVHS art teacher Cara Hurst and members of the Creative Hearts Club painted a plow for East Lampeter Township. In addition, several CVVA students painted a second plow for the township. These two plows will out and about on township streets this winter!

This year's ExtraGive event is scheduled for tomorrow, Nov. 18. ExtraGive is a community celebration of giving inspiring thousands of individual donations and shining a light on the work of our community benefit sector.

The Conestoga Valley Education Foundation (CVEF) is again one of the participating organization in this year's event.

More information can be found here, and tomorrow, be sure to use this same link to donate to CVEF!

Community Partnership

Conestoga Valley and several local fire departments have teamed up to establish an internship program for CVHS students interested in learning about this very important public service. The Witmer, Lafayette, Bird-in-Hand, and Ronks fire departments have all come together to offer this opportunity to interested students.

Students will be educated on fundamentals of what it takes to become a firefighter. In addition, seniors and juniors will have the ability to train and run emergency service calls alongside local firefighters. There will be opportunities to intern both during and after the school day.

CV CARES is Back!

Explore California

CV Cares is a decades-old program designed to recognize CV employees who have gone above and beyond to make our students, parents and guardians, and community members feel welcome and supported. The recognition could be for a single extraordinary event or an ongoing pattern of positive interaction and support.

If you have had the opportunity to be on the receiving end of this type of engagement, take a moment to fill out the online form to recognize that special educator. Remember, an educator is anyone who has the opportunity to positively impact the life of a child. As such, an educator can be a bus driver, secretary, custodian, teacher, cafeteria worker, school counselor, administrator, or any other support or professional staff associated with CV.
