Sandra L. Duncan (Bennett) – Class of 1971

  • Earned 13 varsity letters in the sports of gymnastics, field hockey, cheerleading and track & field
  • 1971 CV Outstanding Female Athlete
  • Senior Year Co-Captain of Gymnastics and Field Hockey
  • Selected Lancaster New Era “Athlete of the Week” and Who’s Who Among American High School Students and Athletes
  • Attended Lock Haven State College – 4 year member of the Varsity & Show Gymnastics Team, Senior Year Captain, 1975 LHSC Outstanding Female Gymnast, 3 year member of Field Hockey Team
  • Recipient of LHSC Gold Whistle Award for outstanding health and physical education major

  • Earned 6 varsity letters in the sports of football and basketball
  • Lancaster-Lebanon League Section II Football All-Star 1982 & 1983, 1983-84 Pennsylvania “Ones to Watch”, 1983 3rd Team All-State, 1984 “Big 33 Football Classic” Participant
  • Selected by Lancaster New Era to the 1980’s All-Decade Football Team
  • Lancaster-Lebanon League Section I Basketball All-Star 1982 & 1983, All-County Team 1983, Honorable Mention All-State 1983
  • 1984 CV Outstanding Male Athlete
  • Attended Penn State University on full football scholarship – started and lettered in 1988 and played on 1986 National Championship Team

  • Lancaster Intelligencer Baseball 1st Team All-County Shortstop, Co-Captain Senior Year, Section II Home Run Leader
  • Played Minor League Baseball with the Minnesota Twins
  • 1969 Lancaster County Section II 1st Team All-Star, Co-Caption Senior Year, Averaged 17 ppg.
  • 1969 CV Outstanding Male Athlete
  • Coached Conestoga Valley Youth Baseball, Basketball and Soccer for a combined 14 seasons

  • Softball – Co-Captain and MVP

  • Attended Lock Haven University – Played Field Hockey, Basketball and Lacrosse – 2 Yr Starter in Field Hockey and Won National Championship in 1982, Runner-Up in 1984

  • 1982 twice named Quarterback Club Section II Lineman of the Week, Starting TE in Lancaster Sertoma All-Star Game, 1982-83 Pennsylvania “One’s To Watch”, Nominated by Lancaster New Era to the 1980’s All-Decade Football Team at TE
  • 1983 Lancaster-Lebanon League Sectional All-Star Team Pitcher (Record 7-1)
  • 1982-1983 member of the District III Runner-Up & State Qualifying Basketball Team
  • 1980 & 1981 member of the AAU/USA Junior Olympic National Championship Volleyball Team (15 & under age bracket), 1981 named to All-Tournament Team
  • Attended Lafayette College – Earned two varsity football letters
