BoardDocs
- Frequency: Varies (min. twice per month with the exception of July).
- Audience: All internal and external audiences.
- An electronic resource where Conestoga Valley posts its Board of School Directors’ meeting agendas, meeting minutes and board policy. BoardDocs can be accessed by visiting www.conestogavalley.org and clicking on the School Board tab.
Buckskin Blast

Frequency: Once a week, distributed on Thursdays during the school year.
- Audience: All internal and external audiences.
- An email newsletter featuring the latest news, upcoming events, community announcements, blog posts from the superintendent and more. Parents, faculty and staff automatically receive the Buckskin Blast, while others in the community are encouraged to sign up to receive the e-newsletter.
Buckskin News
- Frequency: Twice per year: January and in July.
- Audience: Residential taxpayers, parents, businesses, community agencies and organizations, faculty and staff, board of school directors.
- A printed publication, the Buckskin News is CV’s signature newsletter that is mailed to all homes, businesses and community organizations in the district. It is also made publicly available for viewing and downloading on the district website. For more than 50 years, the Buckskin News has featured news and information on CV student achievement (January) and the district’s annual budget (July).
Building Newsletters
- Frequency: Varies by building.
- Audience: Parents.
- Each school in Conestoga Valley distributes building-specific newsletters at various times throughout the school year.
Conestoga Valley Website
- Frequency: Several times per week.
- Audience: All internal and external audiences.
- The most comprehensive source of information and resources available from Conestoga Valley School District is the district website (www.conestogavalley.org). The district website features information on academic programs, CV’s Board of School Directors, administration and business office, student registration, job opportunities, lunch menus, calendars and more. The website also hosts three sections for students, parents and faculty/staff that contain numerous links to common web-based tools and resources.
ParentLink
- Frequency: Varies.
- Audience: Parents, faculty and staff.
- An automated phone, text message and email system that will notify parents and CV faculty and staff of weather delays, cancellations, and other school alerts.
CVHS Profile
- Frequency: Annually.
- Audience: Community agencies and organizations
- A printed publication highlighting the achievements of Conestoga Valley High School that is mailed to post-secondary schools by the CVHS counseling office along with a student’s transcript.
Media Communications
- Frequency: Varies.
- Audience: Media.
- The district regularly connects with local print and broadcast entities using press releases and direct communications. Outlets that cover the CV school district include WGAL, Fox43, CBS21, Pennysaver, Lancaster Newspaper, WITF 89.5, and FM97, among others.
PowerSchool Community Web Portal
- Frequency: Varies.
- Audience: Parents, faculty and staff, students.
- CV’s PowerSchool Community Portal contains information on student class schedules, grades, attendance, discipline, financial obligations – and for high school students – the online course selection process. Links to the Web Community Portal are available on both the CV website’s student and parent resources links. Information regarding account setup can be found on the website.
Seesaw
- Frequency: Varies.
- Audience: Students, faculty and staff, parents of students in grades K-3
- Conestoga Valley teachers, departments, and buildings use Seesaw as a district administrative management tool. Individual groups use Seesaw to provide information and updates to its members, post calendar reminders, and store digital resources.
Schoology

- Conestoga Valley teachers, departments, buildings, athletic groups, and clubs and organizations use Schoology as a district administrative management tool. Individual groups use Schoology to provide information and updates to its members, post calendar reminders and store digital resources.
Social Media
- Frequency: Several times per week.
- Audience: All internal and external audiences.
- CVSD uses social media regularly to share news, upcoming events and photographs from all district schools. The district primarily uses two platforms for its social media:

Why CV?
- Frequency: Annually.
- Audience: New and transitioning families.
- A printed publication, Why CV? is the official district profile, providing an overview of CVSD and its programs. An electronic copy of the publication can be found under the district tab on the CV website.
