State Task Force
Monthly Meetings, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Zoom
This link provides the schedule for meetings for the State Task Force. All meetings are virtual and a recording of each meeting will be posted on the PaTTAN website. The State Task Force, along with local task forces, serves to identify ways to improve programs and services for students with disabilities in Pennsylvania.
PEAL Center Spring Training Series

The PEAL Center is excited to bring you a Spring Training Series that focuses on transitions, 504 Plans, and educational advocacy. All sessions begin at 12 p.m. on Zoom.
PEAL Center: Communicating Effectively with Your School Team

Right to Know Education Taskforce: Zoom Meeting
April 7, 12 p.m., Zoom
Parents of special needs children and adults are invited to join us via Zoom to learn about the Parent-to-Parent Support Network. This organization connects parents with families of children & adults with special needs or disabilities who’ve had similar journeys. Join us virtually on April 7th at Noon to learn more about the benefit of being able to speak with someone else who truly understands through Parent-to-Parent. Vision for Equality: Mini-Retreat for All Caregivers

The Philadelphia Family Support Projects at Vision for Equality and the Family Impact Initiative at the Philadelphia Department of Health are holding a mini-retreat on Friday, April 11 from 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at Discover Center in Philadelphia, PA. More information can be found here.
PEAL Center: Early Alternatives to Dispute Resolution
April 16, 12 p.m., Zoom
Join the PEAL Center and the Office for Dispute Resolution (ODR) to learn about early alternative dispute resolution options. This session takes place on April 16 at 12 p.m. on Zoom.
IU13: Transition to Post-Secondary Fair
April 23, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., IU13 Lancaster Conference Center
This event is designed for high school students with 504 Plans or IEPs and their parents to gain valuable insights into transitioning successfully to post-secondary education. Administrators and counselors from various colleges will provide an in-depth discussion on vocational training, academic opportunities, and address specific concerns from both students and parents. Additionally, college representatives and IU13 staff will present strategies for effective self-advocacy and outline the steps to access disability support services in a post-secondary environment, with a particular focus on learning disabilities, psychiatric conditions, and physical impairments. Representatives from post-secondary institutions will also be available from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm to answer any questions. More information is available here.
Local Right to Education Task Force (RTETF)

Local RTETFs serve to support the State Task Force in identifying ways to improve programs and services for students with disabilities in Pennsylvania. The topic for this meeting is: Least Restrictive Environment for Preschool Early Intervention.
Bridging Knowledge to Know-How: Summer 2025

This conference will bring together Pennsylvania’s educators, community partners, families, and youth to explore the latest insights, strategies, and tools that bridge the gap between knowledge and practical application. More information is available here.
