Mission Statement:
The purpose of the Conestoga Valley Athletic Hall of Fame (CVAHF) is to honor, recognize and celebrate those individuals who, through their participation, guidance and support, have made outstanding contributions to Conestoga Valley athletics.
Eligibility:
A person will be considered eligible for nomination to the CVAHF if he or she belongs to one of the three following areas:
- Athlete
- Coach
- Friends of Athletics
The individual nominated must be removed from either participating as an athlete or coaching at Conestoga Valley for at least five years; friends of athletics do not fall under this criteria.
Nominations:
Nominations will be received by the selected individual(s) on the committee.
Nominations will be accepted from any source, including members of the committee, faculty, administration, coaches (current and/or retired), alumni and the general public. An article in the local newspapers will invite the general public to nominate proposed candidates.
A standard form for nominations will be developed to ensure uniformity.
Honors and Awards:
The honorees will be officially recognized and inducted into the CVAHF at an induction ceremony to be held at the halftime of a selected home football game each fall.
In recognition, each inductee will receive an individual award commemorating their induction and accomplishments and a lifetime pass to all athletic events at Conestoga Valley School District.
Each inductee’s name will be enshrined on an award to be placed within the Conestoga Valley Athletic Hall of Fame’s permanent display in the Robert Rill Gymnasium.
The inaugural induction class will consist of the top 10 candidates (including any ties) and each subsequent induction class will consist of the top 5 candidates (including any ties).
