Olweus Bullying Prevention Program

  • Olweus Bullying Prevention Program

GHMS is using the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program.  This research-based program reduces bullying in schools.  It also helps make school a safer, more positive place where students can learn.  Although this program takes place at school, we need help from parents and our community.  You can talk about the topic in your home with your child or simply post our school’s four anti-bullying rules in your home or business.  We want to work with you to prevent and stop bullying from happening in our school.

    The Four Anti-Bullying Rules:

    1. We will not bully others.
    2. We will try to help students who are bullied
    3. We will try to include students who are left out
    4. If we know that somebody is being bullied, we will report to an adult at school and an adult at home.

Please refer to the attachments below for more information for parents about the program, how to support your student if they are bullied, if they are exhibiting bullying behaviors, or if they are a bystander.
