Kindergarten Express
Get ready to hop aboard the CV Kindergarten Express! The Kindergarten Express entails six stops (outlined below - keep scrolling!) that lead families to the first day of kindergarten! Information about all six stops, including dates/times and what you can do to prepare, will be added below as details are confirmed.
Kindergarten Registration will open on February 4 2025. Please do not register in advance of February 4.

Stop 1: Kickoff to Kindergarten* (Spring 2025)
These (optional) Kickoff to Kindergarten Nights are family events that bring incoming kindergarteners and their parents/guardians into our elementary schools for learning based around academic and social-emotional topics.

Stop 2: Kindergarten Registration* (Spring 2025)
Parents/guardians and children are invited to visit kindergarten classrooms and interact with teachers on a personal level. Students who need to formally register for Kindergarten are able to do so at one of the “stations.” This is a drop-in event; families are not expected to stay all three hours.

Stop 3: Kindergarten Screening* (Spring 2025)
Children and parents/guardians will meet kindergarten teachers and other school staff, participate in whole group and individual activities, and data will be collected by the school team about individual student skills.

Stop 4: Summer Meet and Greets*
Students may do an activity with teachers, receive free materials, meet classmates, and/or play on the playground and enjoy popsicles.

Stop 6: Kindergarten Orientation* (Summer 2025)
