Assistant Certified Athletic Trainer: Part-Time

The Assistant Certified Athletic Trainer position focuses on the prevention, clinical diagnosis, emergency care, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. This role also involves documentation of care provided and positive communication and teamwork with parents/guardians, other healthcare providers, coaches, and administrators. The Certified Athletic Trainer will share duties with the Head Certified Athletic Trainer, providing athletic training room, practice and sporting event coverage. Previous experience as an athletic trainer and experience working with student-athletes preferred. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must possess and maintain the following credentials:
- License as an athletic trainer through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (50 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain)
- Certification as an athletic trainer through the Board of Certification, Inc. for the Athletic Trainer
- Certification in emergency cardiac care, including
- Adult and pediatric CPR
- AED
- Two-rescuer CPR
- Airway obstruction
- Barrier devices (pocket mask, bag-valve-mask)
