Cape Henlopen
Forty-eight 8th graders participated in the three-day Cape Henlopen Field Experience in September. This is the 54th year Conestoga Valley has had such an experience for our community of students. The real world application of marine biology, local history, oceanography, STEM, water chemistry and astronomy were all strongly engaged in the events and activities for this field experience. The students of CV are truly wonderful children. During tours, restaurants stops and at the hotel; the people from the Lewes Delaware community would stop the teachers to compliment the behavior, inquisitive nature, and positive attitude displayed by the students. Likewise, the students of CV are lucky to have a Sci-Tech staff that are willing to diligently work (many times from 6:00 am – 11:30 pm) in the rain, wind and mud to offer this marine science field trip. A special thanks to these teachers and their families – without them, we could not be able to offer this opportunity to the CV community of students.
