Whitacre to Join Conestoga Valley School Board
LANCASTER, Pa. – The Conestoga Valley School Board announced the appointment of Lisa Whitacre as its newest member at the Sept. 21, 2020 board meeting.
Whitacre is currently the Vice President, Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Fulton Bank, a role she has held since 2015. Whitacre held a similar role at Susquehanna Bank and prior to that was the Vice President (Senior Talent Consultant) at PNC Financial Services Group.
Whitacre previously served on CV’s School Board from 2010-11 before a policy change at her then-employer PNC required her to resign her seat.
“I am so pleased to be appointed to the Board and to have the opportunity to share my talents and work collaboratively with a group of very dedicated, hard-working individuals in service of our students and our community,” Whitacre said.
Whitacre is a graduate of McCaskey High School and graduated from Bucknell University with a B.A.in Psychology and a minor in Education.
Two of Whitacre’s sons are graduates of Conestoga Valley High School (2014, 2016), and her third son is a member of the CVHS Class of 2024.
“We are excited to welcome Ms. Whitacre back to the CV Board,” district Superintendent Dr. Dave Zuilkoski said. “Her past experience and her unwavering focus on the students will have a positive impact on the District as we continue to look at education and how it is defined and presented during this pandemic and beyond.”
Whitacre is filling the vacancy left by Julia Reed who relocated outside the Conestoga Valley community. Whitacre’s appointment expires in December of 2021.
