At the March 13, 2023 Conestoga Valley School Board meeting, the board approved Adele Huntzinger to be the district’s next Chief Finance and Operations Officer (CFOO).

Huntzinger has been with CVSD for 23 years and most recently served as the Director of Finance. As CFOO, Huntzinger will oversee the District’s $89 million budget as well as its operations. Back in 2013, the Conestoga Valley School Board of Directors presented an award of excellence to Huntzinger – the assistant director of business services at the time – for “proactively recognizing problems and the need for change while implementing creative cost-saving solutions.”

Huntzinger replaces Phyllis Heverly Flesher who left the position of CFOO in September 2022. 

Before working at CV, Huntzinger acquired 14 years of experience in public accounting as a certified public accountant (CPA). She served as the auditor for corporate, governmental, and nonprofit entities, and prepared corporate, partnership, fiduciary and individual tax returns.

Huntzinger attended Millersville University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and remains a certified CPA.
